ADDENDUM 1. - MUNICIPAL HOLIDAYS

Addendum to Section 3.B(1)—Holidays.

With respect to Good Friday, All Saints Day and the day after Thanksgiving, the mayor of the City of Carencro shall have the discretion to assign a percentage/portion of the city's employees, not to exceed 50 percent, to work on these holidays, while allowing the remaining city employees to take the holiday off of work, for the purpose of assuring that various city services are available to the citizens of the City of Carencro. It shall also be the mayor's obligation, and completely within his discretion, to develop an equitable arrangement, through rotation of such holiday assignments or otherwise, to insure that no employee is subjected to desperate [disparate] treatment as a result of the above-described holiday work assignments.

It is not intended that the maximum percentage given hereinabove should affect the mayor's discretion to assign or allocate work assignments during any time of emergency or special public need, as determined by the mayor through the exercise of his sole discretion, and said percentage shall not have any application to same.
