§ 62-31. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Major thoroughfare plan means the major thoroughfare plan as established, maintained, and updated annually by the Lafayette Consolidated Government's department of planning, zoning, and codes.

    Streetscape master plan means the streetscape master plan as established by the city council. At the time of adoption of the ordinance from which this article is derived, the streetscape master plan includes the following streets: St. Joseph Street (La. 182) from Bernard Street to Arceneaux Road, Arceneaux Road from St. Joseph Street to Walter Drive, Walter Drive from Arceneaux Road to St. Anne Street, St. Anne Street from Walter Drive to T-Ma Road, T-Ma Road from St. Anne Street to Bernard Road, and Bernard Road from I-49 to St. Joseph Street. The drawing attached to Ordinance No. 2002-005 entitled "Streetscape Master Plan" is hereby made part of this article. If at some time the limits of the streetscape master plan are expanded, the requirements of this article will expand with it.
