§ 62-33. Applicability.

  • (a)

    Streets proposed for construction within the corporate limits of the city after the effective date of the ordinance from which this article is derived (where such construction shall not take place until after such effective date) shall not be approved by the mayor and city council except in those instances where the street in question includes sidewalks, as specified in section 62-34.

    (b)

    Sidewalks will be required on both sides of all streets. If a development borders a street on one side only, it will be required to provide sidewalks on that side of the street only. If a development borders a street on both sides, it will be required to provide sidewalks on both sides of the street. If a development borders an intersection of two streets, it will be required to provide sidewalks on both streets.

    (c)

    Sidewalks will not be required in subdivisions that are existing as of the effective date of the ordinance from which this article is derived.
