§ 66-252. Design of street network.

Latest version.
  • The street system of any city counts for about one-third of the land within the city and is the only system through which access and most of the services required in the use of private property must flow. The design of the street network of any city or parish is, therefore, very important to the success and viability of the area and it is the intention of the planning commission, through the application of its policies and standards, that the continued expansion of the street system of this area will not impede access or the flow of services to private property, create hazards or cause unnecessary traffic congestion.
