§ 66-375. Installation and maintenance of street markers.

  • Upon establishment of the name of any private street under the terms and conditions in this division, the petitioners or owners of the property adjacent to such private street shall be responsible for the installation, erection, and continued maintenance of appropriate street name markers at the intersection of all streets, both public and private. No private street marker shall be installed without the approval of the public works department, and such installation shall be in conformance with the duly adopted standards and policies of the department. Private street name markers indicating names not established in conformance with the provisions of this chapter and installed within the right-of-way of any public street may be declared a nuisance or traffic hazard and removed from the public street right-of-way without notice.
